You are what you are - Tatvamasi

Life in mumbai  has always been a celebration, may it be diwali, ganapathi, dussehra, christmas or ramzan. Though a very busy town and people living a fast and mechanical life, still festivals would be abuzz and enlightened with fun and more of an enthusiasm amongst all, irrespective of caste or religion. You would  get to experience the real integrity in diversity no where else in the world except mumbai. I was a hindu but I was connected more to the church and christ, my parents never once objected  or restricted me or my brothers  about our beliefs, my christian friends accompanied me to the temple and none barred or scared them. After I settled in kerala I got attached to the temples and got detached from the church, but christ did not punish me, he never came in once to my dreams and asked me why I was not praying to him. It was then I understood no matter whom you believe or to whom you pray, it is your mind to whom you question  and you are answerable to none other than your mind. I  had no idea about the bible or what it taught and I believed in christ same way I did not have the  knowledge of  hinduism but I believed in the hindu gods. Then I began reading the epics, the ramayana, and the mahabharata. Only then I found the elixir of the bhagwad geeta which was a part of the mahabharata and a slim volume of poetry written 500 years before jesus christ and 1000 years before mohammed the prophet and astonishingly 2000 years before Hinduism came into being. Thats why there is nothing surprising if we didn't connect it to any religion, and instead connect it more to the daily lives of the people. And so i will urge to the whole world people to understand that the geeta is not just a conversation between the divine and the prince or about a war, but every word and verses connects to the life and deeds of the common man, assuring and reassuring that its only the body that leaves the world and the soul continues its search for sustainance through a new body. My education in astrolgy was a sort of confirmation to what the geeta taught. Today with my own experience and the knowledge that reading gave me I feel what I see in you and what you see in me is the same. The imperishable soul. That which I see in krishna and that you see in christ or he sees in allah is the same. The imperishable energy.
